El libro Poesía, estética, ciudad. En torno a la poesía cordobesa del último medio siglo, que acaba de publicar UCOPress y Editorial Cántico, recoge, ordena y completa los textos resultantes de la relación de su autor, Pedro Ruiz Pérez, con la poesía cordobesa en las tres últimas décadas. Desde los talleres literarios y el Aula de Poesía de la UCO, en los primeros años noventa, el autor ha apoyado y acompañado las iniciativas y la creación de los poetas más jóvenes, al tiempo que estudiaba los referentes en las generaciones anteriores y las obras en la que alcanzó su madurez…

New volume of the translation studies journal “Hikma”, published by the Publications Service

The Publications Service of the University of Córdoba has published the ninth volume of the translation studies journal Hikma , which compiles a total of eleven works of diverse characteristics, ranging from topics related to translation and literary analysis concerning text, literary language, or the author, and studies on the concept of context in English-Spanish translations or information retrieval and translation and their milestones in the globalization process, to poetic issues such as the melancholic influence of English pre-Romantic poets in France, the elegiac melancholy of the late 18th century in France, or the poetry of Francisco Acuyo in Portuguese.…

“Poesía femenina inglesa de la Restauración,” New Book from Universidad de Córdoba Press

Universidad de Córdoba Press has published the book "Poesía femenina inglesa de la Restauración (Estudio y Traducción)", authored by Angeles García Calderón and Juan de Dios Torralbo Caballero, which explores the creative legacy of ten women poets. Following an examination of the sociocultural context of the second half of the seventeenth century, the work provides readers with a carefully curated selection of poems presented in bilingual format. This volume continues the line of research established in the authors' previous work on seventeenth-century English women's poetry (Letra capital, Valencia 2009).
