Application for Publication

All publication proposals to UCOPress must be submitted through its Open Monograph Press (OMP) platform.

Authors are required to submit original manuscripts, which must be unpublished, must not have been presented as papers or communications at any conference and must not be under consideration for publication by other publishers. The sole exception applies to translations of works that are difficult to access.

Files submitted for evaluation must be uploaded in anonymised PDF format. All information relating to authorship and funding must be entered exclusively in the corresponding fields of the online submission form.

Prior to submission, authors are expected to carefully review spelling, grammar and style, and to ensure consistency in bibliographic references and typographical conventions throughout the work, particularly in the case of collective works.

As a general rule, the Real Academia Española (RAE) shall serve as the reference authority for text correction and editing. However, in certain cases this criterion may not be the most appropriate, as legal and scientific texts follow their own established conventions.

Accordingly, in duly justified cases and subject to prior agreement with UCOPress, alternative criteria may be adopted, provided that they are applied consistently throughout the entire book.
