The University of Córdoba Publishing Service has published the fourth issue of «Ed.Uco», the educational research journal of the Faculty of Education Sciences. This issue features nine papers on diverse topics ranging from the consideration of rural schools as a means of transmission, revaluation, and communication to Olympism and values education. Other topics include media and the operationalization of competencies, a decalogue for learning to learn, differences in parenting styles between fathers and mothers, and student opinions regarding the prospects for change in initial secondary teacher training, among others. Book presentation of “Las luchas libertarias del campesinado. Resistencia antifascista y represión en Bujalance durante la postguerra”, a book examining antifascist resistance and repression in Bujalance

On Thursday, November 4, at 7:00 PM, at the Faculty of Labour Sciences and as part of the cultural events commemorating the centenary of the CNT, the book The libertarian struggles of the peasantry. Anti-fascist resistance and repression in Bujalance during the post-war period will be presented by its author, Ignacio Muñiz Jaén, director of the Caicena River Ecomuseum in Almedinilla.

Book presentation: “Averroes, el sabio cordobés que iluminó Europa”

On Tuesday, November 2, at 7:30 PM, at the headquarters of the Antonio Gala Foundation, and organised by Casa Árabe, the presentation of Andrés Martínez Lorca’s book Averroes, the Cordoban sage who illuminated Europe will take place. In addition to the author, the event will feature the Director General of Casa Árabe, Gema Martín; the City Council’s Councillor for Culture, Rafael Blanco Perea; University of Córdoba professor Ramón Román Alcalá; and the representative of El Páramo publishing house, Manuel González Mestre.

Presentation of the book “Mujeres, sexo, poder y ciudadanía”

On Wednesday, October 27, at 6:00 PM, in the Hall of Columns of the Pedro López de Alba building, the Córdoba Feminist Policy Forum will present the book from the 20th Feminist Policy Workshop, Women, Sex, Power, Economy and Citizenship. The event will feature Almudena López Garrido, from Women in Conflict Zones; Rocío Rubio Alegre, from the Leonor de Guzmán Chair; and María José Moruno López, Vice President of the Feminist Policy Forum.
