UCOPress Editorial Universidad de Córdoba takes part in the Madrid Book Fair 2026

UCOPress, the Publishing House of the University of Córdoba, is once again present at the Plaza de la Ciencia y de las Universidades of the Madrid Book Fair 2026, reaffirming its commitment to the dissemination of scientific knowledge and to promoting specialized reading among the general public.

During its participation in the fair, Elisa Borsari, Director of UCOPress, was interviewed by the Spanish Association of University Presses (UNE), where she highlighted the importance of academic publishers being part of this cultural event and stressed the need to give visibility to the rigorous work carried out by university presses in Spain. The publishing house also took part in the “Without Books There Is No Science” sessions, a forum for reflection in which the trends and challenges facing the sector were discussed in a context marked by digitalization, globalization, and changing reading habits. The sessions also addressed the growing impact of artificial intelligence on the publishing field, the need to continue strengthening open science policies, and the importance of consolidating access models such as Diamond routes, not only for scientific journals but also for academic books.

With its presence at the Madrid Book Fair, UCOPress reinforces its connection with society and its commitment to disseminating the knowledge generated at the University of Córdoba. This year’s participation, which coincides with the anniversary of the publishing house, opens new opportunities for collaboration with other institutions and stakeholders in the sector, and reflects its intention to continue developing a publishing model that responds to the needs of both the academic community and the current cultural landscape.
