SUSTAINABILITY CRITERIA
UCOPress incorporates environmental sustainability criteria throughout the entire editorial process.
In particular, the digitalization of the galley proof correction process results in significant savings in the amount of paper waste generated by UCOPress and indirectly implies a smaller carbon footprint related to this aspect.
UCOPress requires the printing companies with which it collaborates to comply with environmental standards relating to the sourcing of raw materials, waste management and the reduction of polluting gas emissions and, overall, ecological footprint. During the tendering process, companies are required to provide specific data supported by official third-party certifications, and are assessed qualitatively according to the level of environmental responsibility assumed and duly accredited through such certifications.
This unit holds accreditation from the University of Córdoba Clover Program as a result of its commitment and evidence of environmental improvement in its performance, through the application of a system of good environmental practices that enables resource savings and the reduction of the environmental impact of its activity.
