Written by Luis Zea Calero, “Una introducción a la Geología Física en cien preguntas” aims to foster basic knowledge of physical geology by providing the reader with a very modern review of the fundamental aspects of this science. It does so by directly answering various questions of interest, eliminating the need to consult an entire chapter of a book or manual. These questions are organized according to a fundamentally didactic criterion, in line with the most recent books on the subject, and cover all kinds of fields, from the physical properties of our planet to plate tectonics, magmatism, metamorphism, deformation processes, gravitational processes, or weathering, as well as issues related to the geological activity of water or ice, coastal processes, or aeolian activity, among others.

Published by the Publications Service of the University of Córdoba, this text can serve as a reference in courses taught in various undergraduate and engineering degrees. It is also equally valid for less novice readers who will find in it the basic guidelines to better understand more extensive and higher-level scientific chapters related to geology and earth sciences.
