It is the sixth publishing house to take part in this collaboration between UNE and the University of Rosario Press

Elisa Borsari, director of UCOPress, Editorial de la Universidad de Córdoba, has appeared on the podcast «Las voces del Libro», produced by the University of Rosario’s publishing house (Colombia).

Borsari pointed out that the publishing house will be celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2026 and, after taking stock of this half-century, highlighted UCOPress’s current strategic priorities: quality, open access and accessibility for all publications, and a commitment to gender equality and the environment.

After reviewing some of the most iconic collections, the director of Editorial Universidad de Córdoba highlighted some of the books included in them: Movimiento perpetuo. La soga de Alfred Hitchcock, by Neil Badmington (author) which has just been translated into Spanish by Antonio Lastra (Estudios de Cine collection); Viajeras británicas en Andalucía. La narrativa de viaje como pretexto y desafío, by Marta Miranda (Premio Nacional de Ensayo Leonor de Guzmán collection); and Cancionero de Juan Alfonso de Baena (Estudios románicos collection),published in its entirety from the sole manuscript held at the National Library of France (Paris). Two volumes, 2.094 pages.

Radio y podcast

‘Las voces del Libro’, produced by the University of Rosario Press, is a weekly radio programme broadcast on the university’s station, URosario Radio, on Wednesdays from 11.00 to 12.00, Colombian time. The programme is subsequently made available on various podcast platforms, including Spotify, Spreaker and Apple Podcasts.

Founded in 2015 by Juan Carlos Ruiz Hurtado and Diego Armando Garzón-Forero, who currently heads the organisation, it is run by all the volunteer participants, as well as teams of students, graduates and lecturers who contribute as panellists. It has hosted authors and publishing professionals from the leading Spanish-speaking academic and scientific publishing houses.

Bimonthly contribution

The University of Rosario Press has opened up its podcast «Las voces del Libro» to contributions from UNE publishers, with the aim of fostering dialogue between professionals in the academic and scientific publishing sectors, publishers and authors in Colombia and Spain.

UNE Publishers takes part in «Las voces del Libro» every two months and, in addition to the presence of the head of the guest publishing house, a member of the UNE Communications team forms part of the team of interviewers.

The first six programmes have featured el Servicio de Publicaciones de la Universidad de León, la Editorial de la Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, Editorial CSIC, Publicacions de la Universitat Jaume I, Ediciones Universidad San Jorge and UCOPress, Editorial Universidad de Córdoba.
