Documents for the study of pig grazing in the pastures of Pedroche (Córdoba) at the end of the 15th century
Synopsis
This paper is devoted to the study of pig grazing in Los Pedroches at the end of the Middle Ages. Seven notarial documents from the Provincial Historical Archive of Córdoba are studied and published, in which pig owners from Córdoba hire residents of Pozoblanco to graze their animals in the pastures of the north of the province. The main features of this livestock activity, the protection of acorn pastures in the late Middle Ages and the types of contracts signed in 1486 and 1496 are studied.
