Within the framework of institutional evaluation of curricular change, this book presents the doctoral thesis of its author, Manuel Carrillo Castillo, studying and assessing the implementation process of Compulsory Secondary Education in a newly established secondary school in the town of Priego de Córdoba. The research develops a theoretical framework on the evaluation of school change and change policy in Andalusia. The origins, nature, and purposes of sacramental confraternities are essential aspects for understanding the flourishing of these brotherhoods in the Catholic world, especially after the Council of Trent. An example can be found in the case of the Córdoba town of Espejo: a confraternity of the Blessed Sacrament that emerged in a rural setting and reached heights of true splendor.
