UCOPress publishes academic papers presented by the University of Córdoba’s emerging researchers

UCOPress has published in e-book format the papers that 12 female researchers and 8 male researchers—all in training and recipients of either a University of Córdoba Research Seed Grant or a MECD Collaboration Grant—presented at the University of Córdoba’s most recent Conference for Emerging Researchers, held in December.

Titled Actas del X Congreso de Investigadores Noveles (Proceedings of the 10th Congress of Early-Career Researchers), the book is organized into five major areas (health sciences, exact and natural sciences, social, economic, and legal sciences, humanities, and engineering and technology), with the aim of showcasing the results of the participants’ first scientific works and advancing their academic careers.

The use of virtual reality to enhance the development of communication skills and attention in people with hearing impairments; the use of biological molecules as an alternative to improve catalytic effects in metal-air batteries; how stereotypes shape students’ scientific identity and their intention to pursue science studies, how social media marketing uses graphic elements as a discursive tool to bridge the gap with its target audience, and the design and development of a smart device for the direct control of thermostatically regulated loads—these are some of the studies included in the Proceedings.

The book was edited by José Luis Quero Pérez, Feliciano Priego Capote, Marian Medina Alcaide, María Sánchez Mellado, and Elena Lázaro Real.

The e-book can be downloaded as a PDF in Open Access by registering on our website and adding it to your shopping cart: https://ucopress.uco.es/producto/isbn-9788410720022/.
