Photographic atlas and food composition tables of Ecuador: NEW EDITION Including dishes from Zumbahua Cotopaxi Province
Keywords:
Photographic atlas, Food composition table, NutritionSynopsis
This new Photographic Atlas and Food Composition Table of Ecuador is an illustrated document consisting of a set of images of different portions of a food item with their corresponding weights and nutritional composition. Its use in dietary surveys will reduce errors that occur when estimating portion sizes of food consumed. Furthermore, this instrument has the advantage of being inexpensive and easily portable by interviewers, and can even be sent directly to the respondent in nutritional studies conducted online.
The Photographic Atlas contains 130 foods, represented by several images of different serving sizes and arranged in ascending order. The foods have been structured into groups and include foods from both the coast and the highlands of Ecuador.
