UCOPress has just published Problems in Irrigation and Drainage for Agricultural Engineering, a manual prepared by professors José Roldán Cañas, Emilio Camacho Poyato, and Juan Antonio Rodríguez Díaz. The book brings together a selection of representative problems that, from a practical approach, address the design of irrigation and drainage systems.
This volume continues the line launched in 2024 with the publication of Problems in Hydraulics for Irrigation, also published by UCOPress. In this new instalment, the authors offer thirty-six solved problems across six chapters, accompanied by ten appendices with graphs and tables that are essential for irrigation and drainage calculations.
The structure of the book reflects the relevance of each subject in Irrigation Engineering training, both in the Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering and in the Master’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering. Particularly noteworthy are the chapters devoted to the three main irrigation methods: surface, sprinkler, and localized irrigation.
We remind the UCO academic community that, to mark UCOPress’s 50th anniversary, all students receive a 30% discount on UCOPress publications, while PTGAS, PDI, and PI staff may benefit from a 15% discount.
